Move forward toward your next work

Make the value of your experience visible while developing AI and employability skills that help you stand out.

You don't need a perfect resume or prior AI experience to apply. That's what we're here for.

Maybe you started to believe that the problem is you. You aren't.

Job hunting can make you start second-guessing yourself. If you've ever thought any of these phrases, you are not alone.

I don't know what else to do to get a job.

You applied, you took courses, you followed advice. The market's silence doesn't mean you aren't capable: the rules of how to demonstrate your experience changed, and no one has taught them to you.

I am out of date

The market has changed. Today, having experience is no longer enough: you need to know how to communicate your value, demonstrate how you solve problems, and leverage tools like AI to stand out.

Nobody is going to appreciate what I know how to do.

Your experience has value, just as it is. What is often missing is translating it into the language companies are listening to. It is an exercise in communication, not a change of identity.

Kickstart Your Career Program

This is what the complete program looks like

The program takes place in three stages: you communicate the value of your experience, incorporate AI into your professional profile, and move forward with support during your job search.

CV, NARRATIVE AND SEARCH

You strengthen your strategy and learn to communicate the value of your experience.

AI APPLIED TO WORK

You develop AI skills and create a project that demonstrates what you can do.

ACCOMPANIMENT

When the 12 weeks are over, we continue to support you during your job search through mentoring, simulations, and connections with companies.

What you experience in Activate your career, week after week

You have already tried learning alone in front of a screen. You know how that ends. Activa tu carrera works differently, you work with real people, practice with recruiters, and leave with something you can show.

The 12 weeks end. The accompaniment continues.

From day one, you access a network that supports you while you look for a job.

Frequently Asked Questions

Kickstart Your Career might be for you if:

  • You're looking for a job and aren't getting any responses, or the opportunities you find don't align with your profile.
  • You feel stuck professionally and want to access better job opportunities.
  • You had a career break and want to return to the job market with greater confidence.
  • You don't know where to start your job search or you feel you need to regain your confidence to take the next step.

The program is not intended for people looking to start a business, work independently, or completely change careers (transition from marketing to software development without prior experience) or if you are still studying at university and do not have prior work experience.

Women over 18 years of age who live in Peru, Mexico, Colombia, or Chile and have prior work experience may apply. It does not matter which industry or professional area you come from.

Yes. You can apply if you are working. The important thing is that you have the necessary availability to participate actively during the 12 weeks.

Kickstart Your Career is a 12-week remote program with live sessions, divided into two stages:

  • Step 1: Resume, Narrative, and Search · Weeks 1 to 6
You will define your professional goal and learn to recognize and communicate the value of your experience more clearly.
  • Step 2: Applied AI to work · Weeks 7 to 12
You will learn how to use artificial intelligence and automation tools to solve a challenge in your industry and develop a project that you can showcase.

During both stages you will participate in live sessions, practical activities, and personal workspaces between sessions.

The sessions are live.

Much of the learning happens by practicing with other participants, receiving feedback, and working together with coaches and mentors. Therefore, it is important that you can connect and actively participate during the sessions.

No. As part of our commitment to continuing to expand opportunities for more women, selected participants will be able to access the program free of charge thanks to our 100% scholarships, which cover the entire cost of the program. You won’t have to pay any tuition or monthly fees.

Scholarship awards are subject to scholarship availability in each cohort.

If selected, the scholarship will cover the total cost of the program and you will be able to participate without making any payment. Scholarships are awarded based on available spots in each application period.

Our team carefully reviews every application to understand your experience, your motivations, and where you are in your career right now. We're looking to see whether Kickstart Your Career lines up with what you need today, and whether it can make a meaningful difference in your professional growth.

Once the process is complete, you'll receive an email with the result. If you're selected, you'll be able to join the experience and take full advantage of everything the program has to offer.

Completing your application will take between 30 to 40 minutes. Here is what you will find throughout the application:

  • Multiple-choice questions, written questions, and questions where you can share your experience through a voice response.
  • A space to upload your resume. It doesn't matter if it's not updated or in its final version yet; we'll work on it together during the program.

If you need to take a break, don't worry. Your application will be saved automatically, so you can pick up later right where you left off.

Write to us at sumate@laboratoria.la telling us what happened. Include your full name, the email address you used to register, and, if possible, a screenshot or video of the error.

Remember to always log in using the same access method to avoid creating duplicate profiles.

When the call for applications closes, our team will review all submissions and send an email to everyone who applied, whether they were selected or not.

The response will be sent to the email address you used to submit your application, so it's important to verify that it is written correctly.

If you don't find our email in your inbox, we recommend checking your spam or junk mail folder as well.

Yes. You can apply again during a new application cycle. Before doing so, we recommend revisiting the questions “Is Kickstart Your Career for me?”

That would be excellent news.

If you get a job while participating in the program, you can continue attending the sessions and participating in the activities, and maintain access to the content until the end of the twelve weeks. The support continues, even if your employment situation changes along the way.

The support continues as you advance in your job search.

You will still be able to access mentoring, mock interviews, networking activities, and connections with companies and professionals to strengthen your strategy.

Laboratoria will provide you with tools, spaces, and support, but your participation and commitment will be fundamental to moving forward in the process.

Based on what we learned from previous cohorts, the needs we identified alongside our participants, and the changes the labor market is undergoing —driven largely by the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence—we strengthened Kickstart Your Career to offer a more comprehensive experience.

Now, the program combines the strengthening of your professional profile with the development of practical skills in the use of AI tools. Upon completion, you will have a stronger CV and professional narrative, greater interview preparation, and a project that demonstrates your capabilities.

No. Today we no longer operate as a bootcamp.

The world of work has changed, and we have evolved as well. After more than 10 years of training tech talent, we are expanding our focus to respond to a labor market transformed by artificial intelligence and new forms of hiring.

That is why we are expanding our proposal to focus on something more comprehensive: now we support more women in developing skills, confidence, and networks that bring them closer to quality jobs and sustainable careers.

We continue to promote female talent in Latin America. Only now we do it with a broader focus and adapted to today's labor market

Because we believe in the need to close the gender gaps that still exist in the workplace.

Our goal is to support more women in Latin America in securing quality jobs and advancing professionally, through safe spaces designed for their needs and contexts.
